Lilit Muradyan (viola)
Dr. Lilit Muradyan, originally from Armenia, began playing viola at the age of 8 at the Tchaikovsky Specialized Music School in Yerevan. Subsequently, she completed her Bachelor of Music at the Yerevan State Conservatory and moved to the US to continue her studies at Miami University of Ohio, with Mary E. M. Harris. She also holds a DMA from Boston University where she studied under the guidance of Michelle LaCourse. She has participated extensively in orchestral tours throughout Armenia, Canada, Germany, Luxemburg and Austria, and has performed in master classes with such accomplished musicians as Donald McInnes, Terence Helmer and Jeffrey Irvine. As a versatile orchestra and chamber musician Lilit has performed regularly with the Cape Cod Symphony, New Bedford Symphony, Plymouth Philharmonic, Boston Modern Orchestra Project and many others. Also an active teacher, Lilit holds a certificate in Suzuki training and is currently on the string faculties of the Wellesley and Arlington school districts.
